A venue map showing the important event locations within Dún Laoghaire Harbour. Racing will take place a short distant North West (left) of the harbour mouth.

Early Arrivals before Tuesday 3rd August  

If you have boats and trailers arriving before Tuesday 3rd August, please note we are unable to accommodate you at the venue this early. The public harbour slipways can be used if necessary but there will be no access to the host clubs, facilities and boat parking.

Early Arrivals from after lunch on Tuesday 3rd August and Wednesday 4th August

If arriving between these dates we will be able to accommodate you in an area at the back of Carlisle Pier for boat storage and sea access via the Royal St George YC slipway.  Opening Times for this area : 10am till 1230pm and 2pm to 5pm.  If you arrive outside of these hours you will need to park your trailer in the public parking area of the harbour.  Sailing is possible but only via the Royal St George Slipway during these days.  You must ensure that your own boat is on your own trailers for measurement & registration.   All road trailers will be stored on the ‘Ferry Terminal (T) ‘ for the duration of the event.

Motorhomes & Campervan parking (No caravans permitted)

Camper Vans/ Motorhomes are permitted to park but only in the west end of the harbour. Parking is €5 a day for each parking space used and payment for the week maybe made at the parking machine in that area of the harbour.
There is access to the public toilets close by during the day €1 access and also access to the public boatyard for water. There is no access to power facilities and so therefore, if you require you will need to bring a generator with you.
All rubbish must be disposed of as there are no waste bins in that area of the Harbour.

Boat Parking and Trailer Storage

On arrival all boats and trailers must go to the Ferry Terminal. Your trailer will be stored at the end of this area. Once your boat is on its trolley it can be walked over to the ‘Carlisle Pier’ where a map will be available with your country’s allocated parking area.

At registration boats will be allocated a red tag if launching from the Royal St George Slipway (West Area) or a Blue tag if in the East Area for launching from the National YC slipway. All Measurement will take place on the Carlisle Pier.

Club Access to both the Royal St George YC and National YC

Due to the Covid- 19 Pandemic there will be no facilities/changing rooms available at the designated clubs for the event duration. Sailors should arrive to the boat park ready to sail.

Toilet facilities will be available in your host club. 

Rib Launching

Please launch your ribs from the public slipways in the west end of the harbour (please see venue map) . Support ribs will be berthed at the National Yacht Club pontoon. Upon arrival please check in with the Race Office which will be at that location and collect the ID Flag.

All road trailers will be stored in the ‘Ferry Terminal’ which will be a secure area.

€20 cash deposit will be required for the use of your Support Boat ID Flag.

Van and Car Parking

NO CARS or VANS will be permitted to park at any time in boat & trailer storage areas. They must be parked in the Pay & Display areas of the harbour.  Parking machines take cash & credit cards and you may purchase parking for the entire time you are staying in Dun Laoghaire with one payment (parking rates in the harbour are €5 per day).

MOTOR HOMES are only permitted to park in the Coal Harbour Parking area.  Please note the harbour is a public parking area.  All motor home reservations will be contacted by the Event Office prior to arrival with more detailed instructions.

Charter Boat Collection

Charter boats are to be collected and returned at the ‘Charter Boat’ Collection area (C) at the old Ferry Terminal on the Venue Map .  From here you will bring your charter boat to the Carlisle Pier and once measurement complete you will be place your boat in it’s designated parking spot for the event.

Registration & Measurement

Registration will take place on the lower level of the National Yacht Club on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of July. Measurement will take place on the Carlisle Pier on the same dates.


Please note that you must bring a suitable buoyancy aid as it is a legal requirement in Ireland to wear these when going afloat.  Please also bring your wet weather gear with you as summer in Ireland can mean a wide range of weather.
